Murder is a tawdry little crime

Well this week has been amazing!!!

But first a little catch up Peter came up for the festival of history which was a great weekend, then is was Holiday Club, great fun. I think that we're all caught up.

It started last Saturday when I headed down to London to stay with the wonderful Miss Mia Bennet! The plan was from me to do all of her house work while she was at work but it didn't really work out like that. On the Sunday I said goodbye to Mum and Dad before we headed to the theater to finish as much as we could of the set for the production of Assassins!
It was amazing Mia throw me in at the deep when she told me that I would be helping her/ the show out by being a follow spot! There's a first time properly using something for the first time! Tech rehearsal went as well as we could have hoped. Busy day!

So on the Monday I spent the whole day Cutting, Painting, Gaffing, Elections tying, lets put it this way it was a busy day! The dress rehearsal went swimmingly which did scare a few people!

So everything should have been finished by Tuesday, Opening Day, but as is the way with things it was not, Matt and myself spent the whole day finishing off the set and ensuring that everything was as good as it could be. And we finished off the last little bit about an hour before curtain up, well maybe within the hour that it did  start, hehe. The first show went well. Then when that first show was finished it was to the pub, the Sea Horse, which was well needed!!!

Wednesday I was given the day off by Mia, which was probably a good thing because I was shattered, well and truly out off it! But it didn't stop me from doing what I needed to do, IE cooking the prop food! And getting there on time! I think by this point I has been to the Pret around 10 times, hehe. Now I was happy enough with the Follow spot job I had been given, but just to throw me Steve decided to give me some extra stress in the form of and Iris for the Follow Spot which means that you can make the beam smaller and more theatrical. So not only had he thrown me by this I had to do a head and shoulders follow, I was really rather scared. But I powered on threw and had fun. To give credit where credits due the Iris wasn't all that hard and it did look really good. After that it was to the pub this time Centre Page.

Thursday well this was a silly day, I managed to get myself sent to hospital only to the minor injuries unit for  a burn but still hospital. What happened was that when getting the prop food out of the oven I caught the trey on the edge of the work top it bounced back and on to my arm! But due to the extensive training I have had with the wonderful St Johns it was not as bad as it could have been. I still managed to Iron Mia's outfit for the evening with my injury. So at 5.30-ish I met Mia and we went to St Barts minor injury unit and I was treated! And at 6.30-ish I was ready to do Follow Spot in the Theater! I had an observer on this night Hannah, she was learning off of me for when she had to do it by herself on Saturday evening. It went well she watched and then asked me a few questions, all in all a good show! Then it was to the India, The Red Leaf, sat with Franey and Andy Mac, whom are amazingly lovely! Had really good conversations and laughed allot!

Friday Gala Night! Did quiet allot of Ironing during the day, and of course cooked the prop food, used my first ever Boris Bike, they are really heavy! Got to the theater to observe Hannah and help/ prompt her. She was really good and really scared, Good Show! That evening after the show we all got dressed up and went to the Sea Horse for the Gala element. Had such a laugh with everyone, and have so much respect for them. It was a late one that evening, I'm not going to lie.

Saturday, Last day :( Got up and ensured that I was packed, then went to the shops to get lunch for Mia and myself, while we where waiting for Mum and Dad, then this is where it all strange, Dad was making a cufufel, which caused me to stop thinking about my things and concentrate on getting him out of the flat, which en turn caused me to forget that my wedding outfit for the next week was in Mia's wardrobe, and thus leaving it there, grrr. Anyway I didnt know that at the time. So we went to the theater and checked in, then ate lunch by the river, and at which time Peter turned up. Then it was time for the last show, for me anyway, when I went up on to the grid Steve had put a box of chocolates within my glove to say thank you, it was really unexpected. It went really well, well it went well for me! During the hand over to Hannah, Andy Mac called me into the dressing room and when I walked in the room the cast clapped me and gave me a card and Jellybelly's, it was so lovely and unexpected and it really moved me! Then it was to Cafe Rouge with Mia, Steve and Craig as well as the rentals, there was enought time for a coffee then it was to Shukers Home where I was dropped off, Mum and Dad stayed for Dinner.

Then it is now, off to Norfolk for a week then back here for a wedding!

Quiet a long Paws! But Paws for thought over
