Rain rain go away!

Well the theme for this post is RAIN!!! Because there has been a lot since I last posted.

So we were getting ready for the wedding, and what a lovely affair it was, the bride (Heather) looked elegant and beautiful. The groom looked like the cat that got the cream, it was really really lovely! And I got to know Peters family. Picture time!

Then it was off to Hayling Island on the south coast! It was really good fun. Now can't quiet remember Monday all that well went along the lines of blind panic towards Keele and Modules!!

Now Tuesday however was amazing! And Peter was really really looking forward to it, we went to Portsmouth, to the historical dock. And just to illustrate it here are some pictures!

And on to Wednesday well Peter, Lizee, Linda and David went out on the boat, while Joey, Sam and myself went to the beach. But due to the wind we moved off of the beach and down into the next town, it was good. We caught the bus back to the slipway to meet up with the rest of the group. On the way back to the ever so muddy, ever to smelly slipway we saw 2 donkeys. They were gorgeous, I kind of want one now, hehe.

Thursday was a good day, and it was also the celebration of my Grandpops's birth! Now I'm not pointing fingers here but I was very scared that something bad had happened due to the fact that Nana and Grandpops weren't answering their phones, but it was okay in the end. So other than that we managed to get to the near by town of Emsworth, which was nice.

Friday this was pack-up day, which as the title suggests we packed up the camp site! We dropped off dear Sam off at the train station, well I didn't I was packing up the tent but. Anyway Tent and Stuff got packed in the brief break in the rain! And then we met up with Em and Chris at Havant Station, where we packed the boys into the back of Em's car! Then it was off to Greenbelt!!!

Quiet along drive! But a goodish one did feel a little ill, but never mind! Got the tent up no problems :) Then went and had a look at the site!

Okay so I've lost/ my mum lost my greenbelt diary so when that is found I'll update this post. But just to tide you over :

It has been found!! So Friday! After looking around the site we went to the Jesus Arms until a talk entitled 'Do angels have wings?' which did get a little boring so I left with a few people and walked around and looked at some shops! At that point I was so sleepy that I went back to the tent being accompanied by the wonderful Mr Peter Shuker, whom I love very much, hehehe.

Saturday morning came and I awoke after 12 and a half hours sleep! Then it was up and away to Main stage  to listen to Rob Bell, he was really good and made his message clear, be more like yourself never try and be anyone else!! Then it was a little bit more wandering with the wonderful people that I was with, all the while heading in the direction of the Performance Cafe! At 15.00 went to quiet a provocative talk, 'Dawkins, Hawkins & The Simpson', which really did get me thinking. More wandering followed (See a theme?)! Then it was to the Main Stage to watch the 'Gentleman's Dub Club' and then 'Get Cape Wear Cape Fly'! Sleep was a calling at this point so that's where I went!

Sunday :) Communion, which was good if not a little strange in points. Then it was to the Rising with Martyn Joseph, Duke Special, Luke Jackson and a lady whom I forgotten the name of, woops. Then it was to the Make & Take 'Sew for Sew Good' but after a few minutes Elle and myself left. And spent a long while chatting which was really really good. At 18:00 it was to the Performance Cafe, to listen to a little more Luke Jackson. Then I got told 'How to read the Bible' in Bethlehem. Over to main stage for a little Duke Special and Idlewild. Wandering for a bit until it was time for bed but everyone knows that you need to have a 'Bedtime Story' at Abide!

Monday a day of happiness and sadness, last day of greenbelt. Big Top for 'Lost in Translation' then it was to the Rising with the one and only Martyn Joseph, who had Iain Archer, Edwins Haynes and Sam Hill with him! Then to Jerusalem with John Bell followed very quickly followed by Iain Archer & then Kate Rusby. Then to the Performance Cafe, for Edwina Haynes. Then to the Jesus Arms for a little bit. After a few games of life, Then to bed!!

Saddest day Tuesday leaving day! Packed up really quickly then got taken home by Tom and Elle!

And that's it for Greenbelt, really really enjoyed myself. Hopefully go next year!

Paws over (for now)!
